GH Pathway Certificate Program

Congratulations to Atif Saleem, D.O., and Celia Chao, D.O., Class 2016, who have successfully completed all requirements within the Global Health Pathway in service, scholarly activities, and clinical training in global health.

The TUCOM GH Pathway Certificate Program was established in fall 2013. Doctors Saleem and Chao were the first two recipients of the TUCOM GH Pathway Certificates at the commencement ceremony on May 31, 2016.

2016 Annual CUGH Global Health Conference
GHP participants attended the Annual CUGH Global Health conference in San Francisco where they presented a total of nine posters on their scholarly works done during the GHP summer internship. The abstracts of the posters are published in Annals of Global Health Volume 82, Issue 3, page 317-604.

Congratulations to Student Doctors Michael Lee, Mallory Mitchell, and Durany Mohammed, Class 2018, for winning the Poster Competition at the 17th BIOM International Seminar.

Michael Lee: 1st Place Winner in the Research Category - SOMA sponsored.

Title: Patients with six cannulation sites for hemodialysis corrected with decreased occurrence of AV shunt thrombosis in Taipei Hospital.

Mallory Mitchell and Durany Mohammed: 2nd Place Winner in the Outreach Category - COSGP sponsored.

Title: Obstacles to implementation of neonatal resuscitation techniques following training at a Rural District Hospital in Tanzania
